Southern Sector Information Day
Members of the public are invited to a Southern Sector Public Information Day on Thursday 29 March. The event will focus on the investigative work currently underway to develop a plan for future land use and infrstructure needs for the area south of Hamilton.
The area - extending east of Temple View, north of Mystery Creek and west of Matangi - continues to experience significant growth. It is important that we address issues now so that future development is sustainably managed.
A number of potentially competing interests were identified in and around the ‘Southern Sector’ as part of the Future Proof public hearing process. It was identified there was a need to undertake a separate land use study to set the scene for future planning of this area. The Southern Sector Study is identified as Future Proof Action 8 under section 8.15.4 of the strategy.
This event is a great opportunity to find out more about what s happening and get you questions answered.
