Future Proof | Te Tau Tiitoki is a joint project set up to consider how the Hamilton, Waipā, Waikato and Matamata-Piako  sub-region should develop into the future

Our sub-region's population is projected to increase by around 30 per cent over the next 30 years! What kind of place would you want it to be? Where would you or your children like to live? Where will you work? What is important to your lifestyle? What quality of environment would you want to have?

How we manage the demand for housing and business land and how we plan for infrastructure such as roads, water treatment plants and schools is vital to the sustainability of the place we live in. Dealing with the impacts of growth is a major challenge facing the sub-regional community.
